What do artists do?

What artists do is create objects that have aesthetic appeal using their creativity and technical skills. Artists work with many different types of materials to make paintings, sculptures, drawings, collages, installations and other media. In some cases, artists may produce artwork for a specific client, called a patron. Other times, artists make art to convey a message or evoke an emotion.
