About the Item

Bertrand de Vismes is a child of the 60’s. He makes the perspective at the age of three, according to an unverifiable testimony of his relatives. For a time he attended the evening classes of the city of Paris - drawing and engraving - and gradually broadened the circle of masters: Delacroix, Dufy, Matisse, Marquet… In 2006, his first public presentation of his work at the Grand Palais in Paris, at the Salon du dessin et de la peinture à l'eau.
Since then, the painter has exhibited regularly in galleries in Paris, the Ile de France, the Basque Country, Normandy, etc.
"Study tirelessly before; once on stage, make mistakes if necessary, but you must execute freely" (Delacroix). In other words, make it look easy:
- Took you ten minutes to get that crobar?
- yes, 10 minutes and 50 years…
Through the practice of large format, in particular watercolor, the painter conquers a freedom of execution that unfolds in broad and luminous touches enhanced by a nervous, concise graphics.
