Maids work in a courtyard as a gentleman approaches. This fine watercolour has been neatly completed with a sepia, autumnal palette, giving the artwork a charming wintery ambiance.
The painting is signed and dated in the bottom left-hand corner and is well presented in a frame molded with a deep mahogany-effect veneer and a gilded and a gilded strip of molding along the inner window.
