Vyacheslav Shraga Russian, 1953- Homage to Picasso Ink on paper 12 by 17 in. W/frame 22 by 27 in. Painter, graphic artist, sculptor Vyacheslav Shraga was born in Mariupol (South of Russia) in 1953. He graduated from Krasnodar art school in 1972. After completing his military service in 1974, he moved to St. Petersburg. Vyacheslav Shraga has founded the Alpha-contrast art studio and since 1980 has been teaching art to young painters. Museum collections: the municipal museums in Cologn and Rome, the Metropolitan museum in New York, the George Pompidou Center in Paris. Private collections: Russia, USA, France, Belgium, Holland, Canada, Italy, Israel and Germany. Recent exhibitions: 1995 St. Petersburg artists. Utrecht, Holland. Soon after Henry was born, his strong-willed mother insisted that they return to London 'and civilisation'. He had one sister, Phyllis, three years younger.
