Joan Breckwoldt is an American contemporary artist living in Houston, Texas. This collection of mixed media abstractions in The Encounter Series on paper is drawn from the beauty found in nature. The simplicity of these works echoes the quiet stillness of nature once it is distilled down to it's basic elements. These works are an exploration in the subtle shades of color and shape found in our everyday lives.
The size shown is the frame size which are $750 each There are additional pieces in these series that can be framed . The price is for one piece of art. Discount can be taken for more than one piece purchased. The unframed price is $600 each.

Joan Breckwoldt is an American contemporary artist living in Houston, Texas. Her training has a foundation of traditional methods and she enjoys the challenge of using traditional painting methods to create contemporary works. Joan has studied at the University of Texas at Austin, The Art League of Houston, and the Konigs Schule in the Hague, the Netherlands. She is represented by the Jack Meier Gallery in Houston, Texas. Joan Breckwoldt paints figures and landscapes in oil. Also shown are The Magnolia and Abstract paintings that the Breckwoldt is known for in her artistic career. "I have been a gallery artist for 10 years. My training has a foundation of traditional methods. I enjoy the challenge of using traditional painting methods to create contemporary works. I have studied at the University of Texas at Austin, The Art League of Houston, and the Konigs Schule in the Hague, the Netherlands."
