"The last of the Mohicans" by American artist Robert Branham (1926- 2012) is an abstract mixed media on canvas created in 2009. The abstract painting features different materials and textures in a variety of colors on a white canvas. Signed and dated by the artist on the lower right corner with the title on the verso.
Robert Branham was born in 1926, in Louisville, Kentucky. From an early age he was attracted by art particularly by the paintings of Degas. After attending the Art Institute of Cincinnati, Branham began his professional career as an illustrator in Chicago including important illustrations for Playboy magazine. He continued his long and varied career by becoming an illustrator, consultant, and conceptual design artist for the motion picture industry. Later in life he turned his attention to fine art paintings being exhibited and collected widely.

Robert Branham
Robert Branham was an American artist and illustrator, born in 1926, in Louisville, Kentucky. From an early age, he was attracted to art, particularly the paintings of Degas.
