Soren Grau
Soren Grau is an artist from Denmark who has lived in Los Angeles for the past 12 years. Each of his artworks conveys both personal meaning and ambiguity, to be interpreted differently by each person. Grau’s cultural commentary runs parallel to our social consciousness. The pure pleasure of creating is the driving force behind his painting. Grau believes that art need not be complicated and that art is for everyone. “Whatever an artist does, they put a piece of their soul into the artwork,” explains Grau. “In that way you can show who you are. You can make yourself individual by creating something unique that is a part of you but that can also be a part of those who see it and experience it.” A self-taught artist, Grau has won numerous industry awards for his aesthetically pleasing drawing style, graphics and loud colors. Grau’s artworks are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles and have been collected by international companies, including Red Bull, HBO, Toyota and FX (Fox), as well as internationally by private art lovers.

- Golden Triangle 1Located in Ibadan, Oyo"The golden triangle" is the second pair from the series of Abfillage works referred to as "Renegades of a breaking nation". The eliminated afro hair, the symbol, and the expressions form the basis of the narrative of this art. The expression of serenity, tranquility, calmness, pride, unconscious of the external environment, and a state of deep thought defines the emotional status of the subject. The symbol of this pair is a triangular sign made with a golden color on the neck. It is made of three strokes, unlike the first pair made of 2 strokes, thereby showing a transition. It is basic and a symbol of balance like the other four paintings. The term "golden triangle" is a term used in mathematics for a triangle with an interior angle ratio of 1:2:2. But rather than constructing a mathematical golden triangle, the triangle was painted with golden pigment. The triangle is a symbol of geometric sturdiness and strength, a symbol of harmony, and unity of 3 parts. When we are focused on our truth, we are connected to life and have the experience of life coming to us. "Renegades of a breaking nation" is a series of 5 Abfillage artworks, created in 3 sections creating a form of transition using 3 symbols. A transition from a state of one nation to another. By creating a combination of expressive portraits and symbols in gold acrylic pigments which all signify balance. A transition to steadiness, equilibrium, and stability of a country.
