About the Item
Here for your consideration is a late 19th century needlepoint, petitepoint and beaded portrait of a young woman. It is a highly detailed and meticulously crafted beaded portrait with petite point face and beaded headdress and bodice. Needlepoint background. Unsigned. Small restoration to left side of her neck. (Darker red area; see last photo). Some fading due to age. Condition: Good. In 20th century gilt frame with no glass. Provenance: Merrihew Estate, Sarasota, Florida. Overall framed measurements 19 by 15 inches.
