Audra Weaser
Audra Weaser was born in Fullerton and raised in Southern California. She earned her MFA in painting from Claremont Graduate University and has exhibited extensively since then. Her work is in private and public collections throughout the world, from New York and San Francisco to Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi and Singapore. Weaser states that “Nature in an abstracted or reflected state has always been an inspiration for me. Specifically, the moment at which a connection is made or appears between exterior and inner reality. And it is this powerful, but an elusive moment that I aim to convey in my paintings. To achieve this effect, I start by building layers of paint over loose charcoal sketches. As the composition emerges, I refine it to a certain point, then obscure it with a veil of white until the initial colors disappear. From there, I excavate through the layers to reveal a dynamic contrast between color and form." She currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

- Pacific GoldBy Audra WeaserLocated in Park City, UTAUDRA WEASER’s abstracted, organic paintings reference those places where rivers or streams may be traversed as well as to mental states of pause or reflection. The paintings themselves suggest watery scenes pierced by light; there is a vibratory contrast between elements that shimmer with recognition yet remain elusive. And it is there where viewers may find themselves with a heightened feeling of awareness. To achieve this effect, she starts by building layers of paint over loose charcoal sketches. As the composition emerges, she refines it to a certain point, then obscures it with a veil of white until the initial colors disappear. From there, she excavates through the layers to reveal the final balance of color and form. Audra was...Category

- "Short Spurts" (Abstract, Vivid Pink, Feminine, Women, Painting, Antique Wood)By Nicholas EvansLocated in Paris, IDFSHORT SPURTS 2021 Paris, France This piece is a visual interpretation of a poem the artist wrote around frenzied, short-sighted behaviors: “That part usually stays hidden. Those colors are not known for blending. Us? We come from a rib. And we tangle ourselves in the traps we set for our prey.” - Nicholas Evans The painting is composed of plaster, oil and acrylic, with the main detail shape, in white, positioned over wood glue, leaving a slightly raised effect. Embracing the unique imperfections of reclaimed objects aged over time, Evans uses antique found...Category
