About the Item
Chris Kelly has developed a foundational style that fills the space between Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism, and the Hard-Edge California school, incorporating emotion, beauty, and intellect with a contemporary interpretation of the Golden Ratio and Fibonacci sequence. He developed this style over many years of experimentation and it is fully realized in these abstract geometric paintings - when looking at them, there is always something more to discover, from the depths created by layers of paint to the subtle variations in line quality and color. His artworks have been sold across the United States and internationally.

Chris was raised on the east end of Long Island in East Hampton, NY. He studied painting and sculpture at Cornell University and his work has been featured in many solo and group exhibitions - most recently at amArtHouse in Bantam, CT and Colm Rowan Fine Art in East Hampton. In addition, he has received corporate commissions from such places as the Dream Hotel and Richemont North America in Manhattan, the Grey Matters design group in Singapore, and his artworks are in many corporate spaces and private collections. Chris has also worked extensively on projects with interior design firms ranging from onsite murals in Harbor Island, Bahamas, to large scale installations in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After living in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for many years, he is now back in East Hampton where he creates artwork full time.
