About the Item
In this acrylic painting by Dragana Milovic, a white dove and black ring are juxtaposed against a painterly background of electric blue and yellows. An organic white thread dangles in the space over the black hole and just out of the dove's reach.
"A dove is the dominant feature of this painting, representing a pure soul, love, and peace. A white dove means liberation from weight carried by all individuals at some point of their lives. When freed from one's past, we achieve harmony with ourselves and that opens up new horizons for us." -- Dragana Milovic
Dragana Milovic, born in Montenegro in 1969, earned her art degree in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Belgrade in Belgrade, Serbia. After an initial period of artistic painting in Belgrade she moved to London in the United Kingdom, where she lived, painted/created and taught art for 15 years. In 2017, Dragana relocated to the United States. She currently lives and works as a professional artist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dragana has exhibited her work in a number of exhibitions, both solo and group exhibitions and art symposiums throughout Europe. Her works are found many public and private collections.
