Board size: 22.5 x 30 inches
Wonderful vibrant oil painting, rich and full of colour. The different hues of purple oil used throughout this painting are quite captivating, and would sit well within a neutral interior to enable the painting to stand out and be admired.
The technique used is reminiscent of the cubist era. Cubism is an early-20th-century avant-garde art movement that revolutionised European painting and sculpture, and inspired related movements in music, literature and architecture.
Cubism has been considered the most influential art movement of the 20th century. The term is broadly used in association with a wide variety of art produced in Paris during the 1910s and throughout the 1920s.
