About the Item
Nina is an artist, ceramist and colorist with 20 years of professional experience and a lifetime of art appreciation. Originally from Virginia and having traveled and lived extensively worldwide she now resides as a full-time artist and ceramist in Los Angeles.
With a degree in psychology and training in ceramics, painting was a natural transition and expansion to her repertoire from an early age. With color and form as her guide, her artwork flows from spontaneous and spiritual inspiration. Influenced by her travels with the play of color and light, her paintings reflect nature, spirit and a place of tranquility. There’s a touch of magic, secrets and a touch of the unknown in every painting, when painting ”time stops and almost an altered state of consciousness overtakes as the painting evolves”.
Nina’s artwork has been shown in California, New York, Berlin, Montreal, Texas and Tokyo Japan.

- Revlon - acrylic on canvasBy Jacqueline JandrellLocated in West Hollywood, CAJacqueline Jandrell is an emerging artist who is South African by birth. She immigrated to the UK with her family after the loss of her father and grandfather. Becoming an immigrant affects everyone in different ways, and while young, this change of culture, country, and separation helped shape Jandrell as an artist. As she does not identify as British or as South African, this "lack" of cultural identity tends to manifest in her paintings. Her paintings are abstract, visceral and intuitive, as she is drawn to the flexibility and ambiguity of abstraction. Painting is a form of honesty for Jandrell, as it allows her to relax and feel centered, almost becoming a style of meditation. Revlon acrylic on canvas...Category

- Golden Lore IV - contemporary mixed media collage gold abstractBy Russell FramptonLocated in London, GBThis recent body of work is informed by my continuing research into the physical and metaphorical nature of archaeological artefacts and votive objects, allied to the referencing of the symbolic forms and materiality of alchemy. Central to this practical investigation has been the use of ‘gold’, and the qualities that the material, with its obvious chromatic and symbolic values, seems to possess. This has driven both the conceptual and pragmatic concerns within the evolution of this work. Gold is an alluring and complex symbol of many, often conflicting meanings, avarice, greed, wealth but also of purity and celebration, and has been used as the adornment of spiritual and religious iconography as a devotional act for millennia. The titles refer to connections I have made with the forms themselves, often when making a painting a word will emerge which acts as a form of poetic catalyst. ‘Parsival’ or Percivale/Peredur was the knight questing for the holy grail...Category
