William Joseph Shayer
English sporting painter from the 19th century. He painted mostly on a small scale with great detail and quality.
The son of William Shayer senior he must have learned well from his father as he had a successful carrier in painting, with some of his paintings in the Glasglow Art Museum.
This painting is in excellent condition and is framed in its original frame amazing hand made frame
Provence Arthur Ackerman and Sons of London and New York, who were the finest sporting art dealers in the world and who felt in the finest paintings of sporting interest.
