About the Item
Aleksandra Batura (b. 1982 in Augustów) a Warsaw based artist. She earned a Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She studied at the Faculty of Painting in Gdansk and Cracow Academy of Fine Arts and at the Porto University.
In 2010 Aleksandra received a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She accomplished several artistic assignments at the Academy of Art in Macerata and at Centro Sociale eXSnia in Rome.
Aleksandra does easel painting. She has undertaken numerous video projects, experimented with painting and drawing techniques as well as designed and completed several mural paintings.
She participated in many national and foreign exhibitions.
Her artworks were shown amoung others in the Gallery of Cervantes Institute in Porto, in the Palace of Arts, Bunkier Sztuki and Modern Art Center Wiewiórka in Cracow, Nord Art in Rendsburgu (Germany), Art Basel Selection (Switzerland), Gilcrest Project exhibition with Saatchi Art in Beverly Hills (USA), National Art Gallery in Sopot, CSW- Andrzej Strumiłło Gallery in Suwałki.
Aleksandra's works stay in many domestic and foreign, national and international collections.
