About the Item
The blue thunder ascends upon your vision and the majesty of the sea reigns. With the textures and blues ranging from darkest navy to aquamarine, this original abstract expressionist marine landscape compells the viewer to feel the power and the motion of the tide. Confident, flowing brush strokes, impasto paint application and abstract subject interpretations weave a tapestry on canvas reflective of the artist's perspectives and experiences. The artist carries the subject matter to all four deep gallery wrapped sides so as to not interupt the feeling bursting from the work. International artist Anita Lewis makes her home and studio in San Diego, California after showing her work from Buenos Aires to Las Vegas and New York City. Her work has been published in "Business News," "Luxe," and "Fine" magazines, having been interviewed on both FOX and NBC TV. Coming from a family of artists, creative expression in many forms came naturally to Lewis; she graduated from California State University Northridge with a bachelor of arts degree in art and interior architecture.
