The grandmother of modern American animal portraiture, Constance Depler Coleman's vibrant, stunning oil landscape and animal painting in Tibetan Himalayas, "Yaks Near Phasho" celebrates the bright colors of Tibet and the close relationship between Yaks and the Asian people in Tibet. Not just an ordinary buffalo, beloved Himalayan Yaks are decorated with colorful flags and beads. Yaks are one of the spiritual soulmates of the gentle Asian people who live at the top of the world. For Constance Coleman's birthday, she fulfilled a lifelong dream traveling to Tibet and returned with magnificent ideas for animal and landscape oil paintings.
