About the Item
A stunning depiction of a village scene with houses and courtyard with vivid flowers throughout. Florence Arven is mostly known for her playful and sophisticated paintings executed with thick use of paint and sporadic, yet controlled brushwork. Daughter of esteemed artist Yolande Ardissone, celebrated for her colorfully rich paintings, Arven has successfully achieved greatness in her practice, with much influence from her late Mother. Arvens wonderful use of light and shadow is exhibited beautifully as we can feel the time of day and the atmosphere effortlessly. This painting is signed lower right and comes displayed in a charming gold tone frame with hanging wire on verso.

The daughter of acclaimed artist Yolande Ardissone and Jacques Eitel. Arven received a degree from the University L'Ecole des Beaux-Art in plastic arts and at 21 she won first place at the Salon de Ille. Arven's work has been on display across Asian, The United States and Europe. Today it is enjoyed by critics and collectors alike as it is displayed in many prominent museums. It is safe to say, Arven, has matched her parents acclaim and technical abilities.
