"Orchard in Bloom" by Romanian painter Gyula Dudas is an post-impressionist oil on board representing an orchard in bloom somewhere in the Transylvanian countryside, as the title suggests.
Gyula Dudas was a Romanian painter, ceramist and sculptor of Hungarian ethnicity. After graduating from the Academy of visual Arts "Ioan Andreescu" in Cluj, he settled in Baia Mare, a Romanian city that was renowned for its vibrant art scene since the beginning of the 20th Century. He participated in numerous group and individual exhibitions in Romania, Hungary, Sweden and Czekoslovakia.
