About the Item

Inspired by the geometric landscape of his hometown Thomas Roese has created a photorealist series using acrylic, graphite and colored pencil. Since graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1971, Mr. Roese has been busy making his career as an artist and art educator. Since 1973 he has taught Drawing in the Continuing Education Department at the Cleveland Institute of Art and is a high school art teacher and department chair in Parma City, Ohio. Roese was recognized as an outstanding classroom art teacher and invited to participate in the AICA New York Summer Studio Program. His work is in the Cleveland Museum of Art and the American Embassy in Stockholm as well as numerous corporate art collections. He has served on the board of The Print Club of Cleveland and Artists Archives of the Western Reserve.
