19th Century Impressionist study of a bee hive in spring, oil on canvas laid to board by William Banks Fortescue. Good quality and condition study of the hive in spring. Oval gilt frame. Owned & authenticated by David Lay Fine Arts and famous West Country dealer Alan Bennett of which this piece was part of his private collection.
