The medium here is oil on Fabriano artistico paper — it represents the memories I have from my trip to Mekong River in 2005. Asia sometimes feels like a house where time stands still; spaces are often stripped down and simple, which allows for the utmost relaxation. The Mekong river does just this — it encourages a meditative state. The rug here is authentically Laotian, and the mannequin is a person-like figure that humanizes the space.
