Patricia Abramovich - "Blue Climbing" - abstract & neoimpressionis landscape art

2008

About the Item

Below is the artist statement of our artist Patricia Abramovich from Israel. "Art for me is the freedom to create with no boundaries, to express the diversity of color from which the human soul is composed. Spreading color across a canvas is a means of meditation; I connect with my inner self. My hands just move with rhythm using the painter knife to mix the colors directly on the blank canvas. I choose the colors and let my soul conduct me, handling the knife as a brush. The colors merge on the canvas on their own. I then use a spatula to paint over them in oil. When working in water color "aquarelle", I allow the colors to merge with the water in whatever direction they choose. I feel when the artwork is ready and reaching a balance between the colors. I usually have no preconceived idea and am always curious to see the final results of my painting. My major influences are Monet and Cézanne but I also appreciate the works of Van Gogh, Sissley, Renoir and Michelangelo. I am also fascinated with Japanese art and calligraphy and one day would love to exhibit in Tokyo." From series 'moving toward abstraction'. Abstract and neo-impressionist style in the sense of life and color. Her abstract artworks express power and energy with bold brush strokes and intense colors. Oil paint on canvas. Signed. Image Size 90 x 80 cm. Country of origin Israel. A beautiful artwork that looks good in every room and especially in the living room or bedroom. Can be framed accordingly, contact us for options. About Patricia Abramovich: Born in France in 1958, Patricia Abramovich remembers drawing portraits from magazines when she was 12 years old. Having grown up in Paris, Patricia was influenced by her everyday surroundings. She considered studying architecture because of the beauty and elegant design she found in the buildings and streets of the city. She has now lived in Israel for 37 years, emigrating from Paris to Netanya, Israel in 1972. In 1996 she began private painting lessons and fell in love with colors using watercolors and painted aquarelles. She says, "Once I began painting I could not stop. I also studied sculpture and plan to devote time to exploring this medium in depth." Painting with oils on canvas was love after the first lesson ... "I painted with brushes, then in 2007 I began to paint oil abstracts and landscapes with painter knives. I reached a special and personalized texture and style this way, by working with passion every free minute I had." Last exhibitions: - art market: 04/2019 Contemporary art show Hong kong, with Galerie Bruno Massa - solo: 03/2014 No Brush, Ein Hod Gallery, curator Daniella Talmor, IL

  • Annette Selle - "Morning" - unique original oil painting on canvas
    By Annette Selle
    Located in Winterswijk, NL
Annette Selle - "Morning". It is important to me to create an art space that enables the viewer to connect this space with his or her own reality. It is up to the viewer alone to decide how he or she perceives the landscape space; the picture conforms to the visual intention. In the process, other certainties also disappear. What is going on with the ground, with its red between the light bands? If you engage with it, it loses its solidity, it is as if you are looking down past bright ribs and bars into a cloudy, red bottomlessness. Country of Origin: Germany. Signed: Yes. Topic: Landscapes. Image Size: 90 x 130 cm. Total Size: 90 x 130 cm. Orientation: Landscape. Primary Color: Yellow. Secondary Color: Red. • Annette Selle - "Be Lucky" - unique original oil painting on canvas
    By Annette Selle
    Located in Winterswijk, NL
Annette Selle - "Be Lucky". My theme in this painting is space and landscape and time. In an external reality that would correspond to this picture, there would be parallel arable furrows, indicated paths. Their parallel courses would carry the perspective into the picture. Paths and furrows would be traces left by movements in space, by travellers or heavy machinery. They would bear witness to processes in time that have traversed space. The colour in these landscapes serves above all as a deeply emotional mood carrier. Silver pigments, radiant yellow, warming red and, again and again, white. Country of Origin: Germany. Signed: Yes. Topic: Landscapes. Image Size: 120 x 90 cm. Total Size: 120 x 90 cm. Orientation: Portrait. Primary Color: Yellow. Secondary Color: Silver. • Gestural Abstract Large Scale Painting, Vibrant Contemporary "Sapphire Bridge"
    By Debra Drexler
    Located in New York, NY
48"x72" signed on reverse by the artist. This is a contemporary abstract painting by the New York/ Hawaiian artist, Debra Drexler. Bright, nearly neon orange and pink fields of color are contrasted by an electric blue large path brushstroke. The composition and color are reminiscent of the coral, magenta and rose sunset against a blue body of water. Debra Drexler's paintings are informed both by participating in the contemporary resurgence of abstraction coming out of New York, and by living in the Post Colonial Pacific for close to three decades. In the 21st century, much of our experience is mediated through the screens of our devices. In contrast, the making and viewing of paintings remains a direct, engaging experience in Drexler's paintings. She aims to take us to a state of timelessness that is primal in its humanity, disconnecting us momentarily from the mediated “now” of our electronic devices, and connecting us to a “now” that gives us a glimpse of the infinite. As a colorist, Debra Drexler provokes unexpected color relationships and creates spatial contradictions that come from those interactions. Some of her color choices reference the post digital experience with its highly saturated synthetic color. The luminosity and saturation also mirror the unique quality of light and tropical color interactions in Hawai’i, where Drexler also lives. Her work is driven by an athletic painting...
