Warm Winter Day, Central Park, original contemporary impressionist NYC landscape

Known for it's timeless charm, the quaint Cotswolds of England are what dreams are made of. First Slaughter, Upper and Lower Slaughter adjacent to Bourton-on-the-Water are such places! The Eye Brook weaves through the Slaughters, affectionately known as "the Slaughter;" the name was derived from the local marsh rather than what one might otherwise expect! This original impressionist landscape exemplifies the historical importance of the mill in these hamlets as well as the warm and inviting feeling of the region of Cotswolds, England. Also exemplifying the English countryside in this original impressionist landscape are the thatched rooves, architecture, rugged terraine and locals lingering, all seemingly frozen in time! Legendary artist John Phillip Osborne, applying many of the principles of the Barbizon school of art painters as well as classic impressionism, was the leading instructor of the highly regarded Ridgewood Art Institute of New Jersey for more than thirty four years. A budding student of the ocean, she does not hesitate to challenge the seagulls as they dive into the surf for their next meal . . . the baitfish! Her feet are solidly planted in the ocean floor as the undertow grabs her and the baitfish with each wave, in this original, figurative, marine landscape. The turquoise and kelly green waters are radiant as the white tide plays off of the seagulls. The thrill of traversing the beautiful spring countryside rushes color to their cheeks, tightens their calves, lowers their heels and steadies their hands as they ready for the hunt. The horn is sounded, the hounds begin chase and the riders reassure their horse while urging them forward. The scent of the fox, the chase, the jumping across the creeks and over downed branches has come to an end for another equestrian hunt shared with the other highly regarded club members. They walk their horses for a while as the horses and hounds cool down and the riders are waiting on brandy to mellow out the day's excitement. DeWitt Lockman began painting at the age of four in Brooklyn. By the age of seven, his family had moved to New York, where he worked with the animal painter James H. Beard. In the years between the two European trips, Lockman painted little, suffering from ill-health. Amir Baradaran is a New York-based Iranian-Canadian ARtificial artist. As the Arts-Based Creative Research Associate and Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Baradaran is developing iBegoo, a multi-user software that supports artists with limited knowledge of game design and programing by streamlining and automating the process of writing for, directing, and producing interactive Augmented Reality (AR) experiences that include responsive characters enabled with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Baradaran is the recipient of the Knight Foundation Arts Award, Canada Council for the Arts New-Chapter & 150th Anniversary Prize, UC Berkeley Artist Residency (from Center for Critical Theory, New Media, Race and Gender Studies), International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality Future of Augmented Reality Prize, and Morgan Stanley Pulse Art Fair grant.
