About the Item
In this artwork, the artist captures a poignant moment inspired by an unexpected encounter with a dear friend of her mother.
The subject is depicted from behind, hands delicately resting on the head, conveying an aura of reflection and contemplation. This posture reveals a certain vulnerability in the face of a lifetime filled with experiences. Utilizing acrylic, she skillfully plays with nuances of light and shadow, crafting an intimate and emotionally charged atmosphere.
The choice of a 50x70 cm canvas provides ample space to convey the subtle details of this scene, enabling the viewer to immerse themselves in the complexity of an entire life.
Each brushstroke contributes to narrating a unique story, accentuating the profound emotions associated with contemplating the journey of this individual through time.

Emmanuelle Vroelant
Born in 1952, Emmanuelle Vroelant has been living and working in Roscoff, Brittany since 2006. Despite a real attraction for artistic creation, her parents encouraged her to study. After graduating in psychology, she leaves to discover the world and it is far from the family weight that she gives life to her first child. She moved to Vanuatu where she met artist Juan Roderta and journalist Alphonso Colondro. These two men allow a real questioning of the artist who discovers the need to paint. On her return to Paris, she opened her first studio in 1981 and ended up exhibiting in 1985, 86, 88 and 89 at the Grand Palais Autumn Show, allowing her to start an international career. After two years of illness, Emmanuelle lost her inspiration and opened a psychoanalyst practice in Paris, where she practised art therapy. In 2006, she left her Parisian life to settle in Brittany, which allowed her to regain a creative energy. At the request of collector Michel Chamming’s, Emmanuelle successfully exhibited in Paris in 2009. During the inauguration of a New York gallery, she meets Jean-Claude Reumont who offers her to represent her for China. Today, Emmanuelle Vroelant’s works are present in the United States, China and France.

- 'Rona Wars: Cyberpunk Edition, ' by XVALA, Mixed Media PaintingBy XVALALocated in Oklahoma City, OKThis 61" x 44" mixed media painting by the artist XVALA is from his series 'Pandemic Collection: 6.' The painting was created with iridescent oil stick and spray paint on a screen print of a Star Wars poster. The abstracted "Basquiat-inspired" work depicts a silver robot with red eyes and large white teeth on a purple and blue background with the text 'cyber punk' in red at the bottom of the painting. 2020 twisted human reality in a number of ways no one could ever have predicted. XVALA pays tribute to this by melding the original Star Wars movie poster with the unexpected weirdness of the 21st Century. By combining a classic sci-fi villain with a modern symbol of literal Cyberpunk, XVALA shows the COVID-19 virus aimed straight toward the earth with a mission to destroy it. Exhibited during the Pandemic Paintings exhibition at the Meme Ranch August 7th, 2020. XVALA's art illuminates the hidden fallout spawned from our high tech Internet age. His' Fear Google' campaign exposed the decay of privacy and 'No Delete' used hacked nude celebrity photos to highlight loss of control over personal information. The artist has worked with trash from the homes of Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and others, as well as dirt from the graves of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley. The dirt appears in the 'New World Order' collection as part of a pyramidal, 3D printed, living ant farm...Category
