Monumental mid-19th century oil portrait of two siblings
Stunning museum quality original oil painting of a brother and sister with marbles. They're sitting on steps below a classical column against a country landscape. The little girl has let loose of her marbles and is relaxed in the arms of her brother as they take time out to pose for the artist.
Original oil on panel. Dimensions: 40" x 50.5". The elaborate handmade gilded frame measures: 50.5" x 61.5".
No visible signature. Very good antique condition.
The large scale of this painting will make it the centerpiece of any collection.
