About the Item
This wonderful still life of flowers was painted by artist Dimitri Romanovsky (1887- 1971) a Southern Russian born artist who lived and worked in New York with a studio at Carnegie Hall. He studied with William Chase, Robert Henri and others, and taught at the Art Students League. Oil on canvas, signed lower right and inscribed by the artist on reverse “All rights of Reproduction reserved by the Artist, Dimitry Romonovsky”, and housed in a decorative giltwood frame. Dimensions: 20 in H x 16 in W, actual; 25.5 in H x 21 in W x 1.5 in framed.
