This is a one of a kind original oil on paper painting mounted on board by Viktoria Romanova. Its dimensions are 22" x 28". It is unframed. A certificate of authenticity will follow delivery.
The eyes of the viewers try to make sense of the shapes' arrangement on the paper. These shapes are recognized as commonly used household items. Romanova works in both the abstract and representational fields and her style is based on geometrical shapes with a hard edge execution. She often gets inspiration from architectural structures, traveling and objects of everyday life.
“This still life focused on the effect of yellow artificial electric light indoors and cool natural moon light outside.
It has two parts: “ here and there “. The shapes of the objects simplified with geometry, a play of straight lines and curves as well as line and dots.
The figure of the sticky deer toy is not obvious to the viewer and it is just an element of the winter decor, that sometimes we forgot to put a way after the holidays.”
