Marie Stobbe: 1909-2003. Well listed American artist with auction records over $7200. She studied at Pratt and Grand Central School of Art with Ogden Pleissner. She was a lifelong resident of Glen Cove Long Island where she owned The Shadowbox Gallery. This beautiful gem of a child on a toy horse is oil on board measuring 10 inches wide by 8 1/4 high. The original frame which she most likely crafted herself measures 15 1/4 inches wide by 13 1/4 high.
