Drew Doggett
Known for a style that's best described as breathtaking, American photographer Drew Doggett captures the actions of horses, wild animals and far-flung peoples in a way that makes the images feel larger than their border can contain. Each shot is so energized with life that the stillness of the photo feels only temporary.
Born in Maryland in 1984, Doggett discovered a passion for photography in high school. He also developed a zeal for travel, accompanying his father — who was an architect —- on many trips all over the world. After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, Doggett's desire to turn his artistic interest into a career brought him to New York City, where he worked as a fashion photography assistant to some of the most notable names in the field, including Annie Leibovitz, Mark Seliger and Steven Klein. These apprentice years brought him face to face with many people of great importance, such as American pop star Madonna, South African Bishop Desmond Tutu and former U.S. President Barack Obama.
Doggett’s life and career took a dramatic turn in 2009, on a photographic expedition to Nepal. He had found the world of fashion photography unfulfilling and decided he needed to pursue other avenues for practicing his art. On one outing during this trip, Doggett and his party found themselves caught in a terrifying snowstorm. The accompanying sherpas kept the group safe and guided them back to safety.
Doggett became inspired to visually tell the stories of Nepalese sherpas and the Humla people of the region. Doggett has since produced volumes of photographic tales depicting the character and beauty of cultures around the world — especially underrepresented peoples of Africa and Asia — as well as countless equestrian, wildlife and landscape images.
Doggett currently lives and works in Charleston, South Carolina, where he continues to plan photographic excursions and pursue visual stories the world over for his camera to tell.

Steps, a ladder, almost all from the bottom to the top, to show you are climbing. Or ? It's up to everyone to decide, to think about which metaphor they prefer. But it's still a personal matter. For some it will be happy, easy or joyful, while for others, Jörg says in a text written in 1982, the image will refer to a painful memory, a painful sensation, an ordeal. Because this image is "us", it is only us but it is all of us. Limited Edition 1/5 Unframed Please note this will include any custom sizes requested German photographer Jörg Krichbaum...Category

In a text devoted to him, evoking these seemingly silent photos of Krichbaum, one critic used the term "din" to define the flow of thoughts and feelings that escaped from it. In this too quick glimpse of Paris, the artist creates a dialogue between the white glass balls of a hotel chandelier with two ostrich eggs in the window of a fashionable decorator, while the fashion models, scattered at will shops and seasons, endless stories are exchanged. - Statuary - Off-Print # 3 - 1976 - Minimalist Black & White PhotographyBy Jörg KrichbaumLocated in Brussels, BEArtwork sold in perfect condition - Off-Print # 3 (Roma 1976) from the portfolio Statuary (Coffret Prestige # 7) This image was captured on film (1976) The selected negative was printed on Baryta paper by the author and then limited digital reproduction printed later (2021) on fine art paper Photo Rag Baryta 310 gsm for highest age resistance using pigment inks which are known for their longevity. It is undoubtedly in this portfolio that the artist's will is best seen. The dialogues and interactions are so powerful and numerous that the cacophony awaits us. To attempt an iconoclastic reference, it would be Shawn Levy's funny and crazy film, "Night at the Museum", rather than the wise alignment of a statuary at the British Museum. Whether they are warriors, scholars or politicians, these statuettes speak for themselves, speak to each other, and speak to us about ourselves: the polyphony is complete.
