About the Item
Ghislaine Lounges in Elsa Schiaparelli's Home, Front -- Mark Shaw photographed Elsa Schiaparelli's best-known model, Ghislaine de Bosisson in an ankle-length dress lounging on an elongated causeuse in Schiaparelli's home near the Champs Elysees for LIFE's Nov. 1953 article "Dress and Decor from Paris Designers." The floor covering is a Bassarabian carpet from a Russian Church. Image size is 32" X 32" (for 36" X 36" paper size). All Mark Shaw prints are made to order in limited editions on Hahnemuhle photo rag paper. Each print is Estate stamped on the back and signed and numbered by David Shaw, and accompanied by a letter of authenticity. Lead time is four to six weeks, but we often receive them sooner. *Please note this image is available in several sizes. Prices increase as editions sell out.
Fashion photography of Ghislaine de Bosisson in a pink dress lounging on an elongated causeuse. She is laying on her stomach and resting her head on the back of the elongated causeuse. She folds her arms over the back to rest her head. She is wearing a pink dress with black lace over it. This is also an interior shot of Elsa Schiaparelli's home. There is a pink causeuse that Ghislaine is laying on. Behind her, there is a fireplace with figurines on the mantel. There are some paintings on the wall and one resting on a chair.

- The MessengerBy Phil MarcoLocated in New York, NYFace Mounted Plexi. Aluminum braced archival print. Mysterious subject matter. ABOUT THE ARTIST Marco studied fine art at Pratt Institute and the Art Students League in New York. New York Times photography critic Gene Thornton called Marco “a Minimalist, whose images are sensual, whimsical, often surreal, always strong, and deceptively simple.” “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Phil Marco on a number of my films. Phil is a man of extraordinary talents. It seems that his passion is to take an everyday object or event, and show it in an entirely new and exciting way.” Martin Scorsese. Phil’s work is represented in MOMA, The Museum of the Moving Image, and The George Eastman Museum of Photography. His first photographs were studies for his paintings, before he launched a career in print advertising. He eventually became a Director / DP for film and television for a vast base of national and international clients with his wife Patricia as Partner and Producer. In the 1980’s and 90’s Phil was the go to person for Special Effects in Television and Cinema, also best known for his graphic conceptual still lives, and his consummate mastery of lighting, and design. He’s won many awards for his work, including numerous Cannes Lions, Cleo’s, a Grammy for his print work on the legendary “Tommy the Who...Category
