About the Item

David Drebin. Me and Me with Diamond Dust Digital C-Print with Diamond Dust. Framed with a black wooden frame and museum glass anti-reflective. Edition of 1/7. Acquired directly from the artist. Signed/numbered certificate. Free shipment worldwide. In a unique and opulent way, David Drebin, stages femme fatales against the panorama of the big cities, which serve as cinematic settings to his epic and dramatic photographs. The artist is celebrated for creating spectacular shots of dazzling subjects including photographs that tell a tale, voyeuristic scenes with people and dream-like city landscapes that evoke emotions, psychological perspectives and insightful reflections into the viewers’ own imagination and experiences. New York City-based photographer and multidisciplinary artist David Drebin was born in Toronto, Canada in 1970. After graduation from Parsons School of Design in New York City in 1996 he rapidly made a name for himself as an internationally renowned photographer creating images of movie stars, athletes, and various entertainers. Subsequently he was commissioned for countless high profile advertising campaigns around the world. In 2005, Drebin had his first solo exhibition at Camera Work in Berlin which was followed by his first comprehensive illustrated book entitled “Love and Other Stories” in 2007. This signaled the transformation from commercial photographer into art photographer represented worldwide by some of the finest art galleries globally including Galerie de Bellefeuille in Montreal, Art Angels Gallery in Los Angeles, Preiss Fine arts in Vienna, Immagis Gallery in Munich, Fahey Klein in Los Angeles and Fotografiska in Stockholm. In collaboration with teNeues publishing, David Drebin has released several books distributed worldwide including "The Morning After", "Beautiful Disasters", "Chasing Paradise", "Dreamscapes", "Love and Lights” and "Before They Were Famous”. Over the years, Drebin's filmic signature style has evolved into other art forms including lightboxes, neon installations, etching on crystal starfire glass and most recently, the revolutionary “photo sculpture” where he transforms his iconic muses and femme fatales into breathtaking high-definition 3D art masterpieces. David Drebin's work is often described as epic, spectacular, dramatic, cinematic, dreamy, imaginative, smart, sexy, elegant, unexpected and sometimes even funny – providing something for everyone.
