About the Item

Plastic Head: Vintage Captain Scarlet Doll - 1993: In 1993, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, a popular TV show, experienced a resurgence as it was rebroadcasted on BBC 2, captivating a new generation of fans, including me. This revival also brought about an exciting wave of merchandise and toys. A whole new collection of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons toys was launched, delighting fans with the opportunity to own their favourite characters and vehicles from the show. Among these treasures was a figure, now a part of my personal collection, which I recently discovered in my mum's loft. It's astonishing to realize that this toy is now three decades old, a testament to the enduring charm and appeal of the franchise. This serves as a reminder to never discard your old toys, as you never know what value or nostalgic joy they may bring in the future. S.I.G.

Nash's photographs include revealing portraits of family and friends, images of life on the road, still lifes and landscapes, street photographs, bad credit people, and a unique series of self-portraits which often shows him reflected in windows and mirrors. His photography establishes Nash as a masterful visual artist with a keen eye for moments and scenes not immediately available to the common eye. In 2006, fifty years of Graham Nash's photographic images were shown in his first solo museum exhibition, Eye to Eye: Photographs by Graham Nash, at San Diego's Museum of Photographic Arts.
