The stunning natural beauty of East Hampton's Louse Point is artistically recorded by photographer Mitchell Funk in a chorus of golden browns and warm ochers.
The picture is arranged in a series of horizontal bands depicting water, land, water, land, and sky. For his 50 plus years as a Nature Photographer, Funk has always been deeply engaged with spatial and color relationships. "East Hampton Louse Point at Sunset" embraces Funk's vision and pursuit of creating new ways to look at familiar places. Mitchell Funk is signed, dated, and numbered 2/15, lower right recto. Other sizes are available and the fine art photograph is unframed and printed later. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper. The color will vary from monitor to monitor.
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of " Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
