A hip young black woman in Central Park pauses for a moment of reflection after her roller skate dance. Street photographer, Mithcell Funk, captures her in an off moment of introspection. Magical late afternoon golden light caresses her full form and affirms her life and vitality. This is no grab shot. Mitchell Funk brings the precision of studio photography to street photography with his compositions and a distinct color palette. Signed, dated, numbered lower right, recto 3/15, unframed, other sizes available, printed later. This work is printed on fine art Hahnemuhle paper.
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of " Color Photography" In 1970 he participated in one the first " Color Photography" shows at a major museum. Brooklyn Museum, show "Images en Couleur" . 1971 Included he was included in the visionary book "Frontiers of Photography" Time Life. Color ! American Photography Transformed. Amon Carter Museum . He has had more than 50 Photography Magazine Covers and has had covers on Newsweek and Life Magazine among others.

Mitchell Funk
Mitchell Funk is a pioneer of color photography. In 1970, he participated in one of the first color photography shows at the Brooklyn Museum titled “Images en Couleur." In 1971, he was included in the visionary books Frontiers of Photography and Color (Life Library of Photography), both published by Time-Life. He has done more than 50 photography magazine covers, including covers for Newsweek and Life.
