This artwork titled "Expandingr" 2001 is a original color lithograph on wove paper by American artist Betty Rees Heredia A.K.A Betty Snyder Shapiro, 1919-2011. It is signed, titled, dated and numbered 1/20 in pencil by the artist. The image size is 17 x 13 inches, framed size is 32.25 x 20.25 inches. Custom framed in a metal black frame, with off white matting. It is in excellent condition, the frame has minor restored scratches.. About the artist: American artist Betty Rees Heredia A.K.A Betty Snyder Shapiro 1919-2011 was a multi-dimensional artist. She was well noted for her work in oil painting, water color, wax pencil, charcoal, sumi ink, drawing, hand made paper sculpture, paper mache, clay, wood, marble, printmaking, wood cuts, linoleum block, etching, monotype, serigraph, and multi-media silk screen. She attended the Tyler School of Art at Temple University, and studied under the founder, Boris Blai, and printmaker Arthur Flour. Her work is held in collections in California and nationwide. Two of her work are in the collection of the De Young Museum in San Francisco.

Paul Getty Museum, the Tate Modern, and the Whitney Museum of American Art. Craig Krull describes her artwork as “large-scale color photographic abstractions. Okun distills the essential qualities of form, texture, color, and detail into one layered vision.” Her earlier two books, Dreamscapes and Variations, show artworks of architecture, landscape, nudes, and art. Bruce Weinberg (1942-1994) studied Interior Design at the Philadelphia College of Art and Architectural Space Planning at Temple University. He was best known for multi-plate color hand pulled etchings of rugs and tapestries, which appear three dimensional with folds, fringes and turned up corners.     "Tree in Ranchitos II" (New Mexico) is a lithograph initialed lower right by artist Andrew Michael Dasburg (1887-1979) from 1975. Presented in a custom frame measuring 30 ½ x 36 ¼ inches. Image size is 16 ½ x 23 ¼ inches. About the Artist: Born France, 1887 Died New Mexico, 1979 Andrew Dasburg was born in Paris, but emigrated to New York City in 1892 with his mother. A childhood sickness left him lame, and his artistic propensities were first recognized by a teacher at the crippled children’s school. She enrolled him in the Art Students League in 1902. There he studied under Kenyon Cox, Frank Vincent Dumond, and Birge Harrison. Later, he began taking night classes from Robert Henri at the New York School of Art. Dasburg spent 1908-1910 in Paris, where he was introduced to the great impressionist painters Matisse and Cezanne. Inspired by the work of the European modernists, Dasburg returned to the United States, where he moved to Woodstock, New York.
