A dazzling visionary art print with psychedelic patterned imagery in metallic silver, teal, and yellow by Ian McNeil Cooke (British, b.1937). The Mermaid of Zennor is a character from a Cornish folktale. She is represented in the center of the piece, holding a mirror up to the moon with her left hand. To her right and left are other scenes from the folktale. Signed and dated "Ian McNeil Cooke 1986" by hand, along the lower right edge of the artwork. Titled and numbered "The Mermaid of Zennor - 9/100" by hand, along the lower left edge of the artwork. Paper mounted on masonite. Ian was born London 1937. He attended Kingston School of Art and moved to Cornwall in 1969. Ian studied etching in St Ives with artist Roy Walker, and in 1979 purchased the former Bosullow School House, now Men-an-Tol Studio, where he set up his own printmaking studio.
