Born in Tarragona, Spain, in January 1981, Garcia's fascination with cognitive development and pop culture drives his exploration of human brain neuroplasticity through vibrant and iconic contemporary sculptures and paintings. Educated at the Escola d'Art i Disseny de Tarragona in Graphic Design, Garcia began his career in cartoon animation studios in Barcelona, working as a layout artist and illustrator. Transitioning to freelance art direction, he collaborated with major international companies such as Berlitz Corporation, Hitachi, and Diesel, specializing in user interface design and interactive content. His work has been featured in esteemed publications, including the "Web Design Index" series and "Taschen's 1000 Favorite Websites." Concerned with society's increasing digitalization and detachment from tactile experiences, Garcia redirected his focus in 2008, embracing physical objects as a means of creative expression. Under his brand, The Secret Lapo Laboratories (also known as Lapolab), he embarked on a new journey as a product designer, sculptor, and painter, exploring the innovative possibilities of plastic. This print encapsulates Garcia's dynamic exploration of the intersection between art, neuroscience, and contemporary culture, inviting viewers to engage with the complexities of the human mind through vibrant imagery and tactile forms.
