About the Item

Keijo Tapanainen captures the beauty, simplicity and sensuality of the human form in this intimate series of hand-cut carbon paper works. The elegant lines and sophistication of these images contrast with the textural surface used. Tapanainen takes on the challenge of the human form which is one of the most demanding forms an artist can represent. His choice of medium makes it even more complex to capture the subtle distinctions in the subject's physical language, his own perspective and at the same time influence the way the viewer sees the work. Tapanainen has exhibited in a range of galleries in Canada, US, and Europe and is a graduate of the Ontario Collage of Design in Toronto. He completed post graduate studies at School of Visual Arts New York. Please note that price stated is for unframed artwork, inquire about framed price.

It is framed in a gold frame with a white matte. Dimensions without Frame: H 18.5in x W 24in. Artist Biography: Marcel Janco was a Romanian and Israeli visual artist, architect and art theorist. Janco was a practitioner of Art Nouveau, Futurism and Expressionism before contributing his painting and stage design to Tzara's literary Dadaism.
