The state of preservation of the artwork is good with small foxing along the right margin. The artwork represents the mythological goddess Europe seated on a big fish, Europa is a figure of Greek mythology; she was the princess of Tire and queen of Crete and is eponymous of the European continent. a combination of the beauty of nature and woman, skillfully depicted with details, expressed through skilful drawing. The myth of Europa and Zeus may have its origin in a sacred union between the Phoenician deities `Aštar and `Aštart (Astarte), in bovine form. here artist by putting in the scene of the sea the Europe masterly revives the myth.
