The International Union of Students (IUS) is a non-partisan world association of university student organizations.
IUS is the parent organization of 155 such student organizations in 112 countries and territories representing approximately 25 million students. It is recognized by the United Nations giving IUS consultative status at UNESCO. The main objective of IUS is to defend the rights and interests of students in order to promote the improvement of their welfare, educational standards and prepare them as citizens.
