Original vintage travel poster - Jura Environs De Pontarlier / Surroundings of Pontarlier - issued by the PLM Paris Lyon Mediterranee railway featuring a stunning design by the notable French artist Roger Broders (1883-1953) depicting village houses along a country road leading through a valley with buildings on the rocky mountains and hills in the background, the PLM above and the bold title text and information in front of a forest of fir trees in the foreground below - Autocars P.L.M. au depart de Besancon. The commune of Pontarlier is located near the Swiss border; the city of Besancon is located near the sub-alpine Jura Mountains. Good condition, restored tears, restored creasing, restored pinholes, small restored paper losses, restored paper skimming, staining, backed on the linen.
