Rare three sheet original vintage Soviet movie poster for the popular classic action adventure film set in the Russian Civil War about a soldier Sukhov (Anatoly Kuznetsov) who is forced to guard a harem belonging to the rebel leader Abdulla (Kakhi Kavsadze): Белое Солнце Пустыни / White Sun of the Desert directed by Vladimir Motyl, written by Valentin Yezhov and Rustam Ibragimbekov, music composed by Isaak Shvarts with lyrics by Bulat Okudzhava and starring Anatoliy Kuznetsov, Spartak Mishulin and Kakhi Kavsadze. Colourful design featuring a couple in the centre, the man with his arm around the lady and holding a gun in front of ladies in headscarves in a circle formed by the title text in bold white bubble lettering with red stars, and other images from the film on the sides showing a fight scene, a man talking to a group of people, a man on a horse and a man surrendering. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, restored folds, restored pinholes, minor staining, 3 sheet poster backed on linen.
