About the Item
Finding Gold is a low relief, wall-mounted sculpture that depicts a stack of coins. The piece is part of a larger body of work entitled "Timeline". I made this piece by hitting a mound of oil clay with a hammer into a desired shape and then I captured that form using plaster. I often make these pieces for people I care for deeply, "old friends are silver, new ones are gold."
