"Butterfly Effect No. 2" by Norman Mooney Stainless steel Available in several sizes upon commission. Please contact gallery for details. In 1994 Mooney moved from Ireland to New York City and has been exhibiting locally and internationally for more than 20 years. His wall relief sculptures are both physical and metaphysical. His work explores the elemental and cyclical synergies of nature. Materiality, pattern, scale and experience are key concerns within his practice. Norman makes sculpture, interior and exterior installations, drawings and works on paper, his methodology is one of experimentation and process with materials such as smoke, glass, steel and resin.     Artist Commentary: Event 02.2000.015 is a one of an ongoing series of sculptures exploring my envisioning cosmic events and their existence in spacetime. This piece is also an exploration of combining different materials into sculpture. Keywords: abstract, welded metal, Artist Biography: Fred Klingelhofer, a primarily self-taught artist, grew up in a Chicago south side neighborhood. He received a BS degree in physics from Roosevelt University and worked as an engineer for 30 years. During those years he enrolled in art workshops and classes at a nearby community college completing courses in figure drawing, 2D and 3D design, ceramics, sculpting the figure, welding and metal sculpture. His focus has been on creating sculpture since 2006.
