Fero Carletti
Tenderness - Metallic Sculpture by Fero Carletti - 2020

2020

About the Item

Tenderness is an original metallic sculpture realized by the Italian artist Fero Carletti in 2020. Original title: Tendresse. The sculpture is made out of small pieces of original WWII relics like bomb shells, shrapnels, bullets. Ferruccio Carletti (nicknamed Fero, after “Iron”) is a self taught sculptor since his childhood. He loves making experiments in his creations, using different matters and techniques. After several attempts, he finally lands to the technique that will be its signature: his artworks are made with original WWII relics, collected across the countryside of Agro Pontino, which is his homeland as well as theatre of bloody battles such as the Landing of Anzio. His purpose is to spread messages of beauty, harmony, peace, daily tranquility, and of course love by these objects from the war that have a new dignity.
