ABOUT THE WORK - Daty takes up the symbolism of the divine comedy of the Italian poet Dante Alighieri with the initiatory journey of the narrator, from hell to paradise, to express the different strata of The Angelino society. Nature, technology, science, finance, show business and leisure are symbolized in this composition centered around two icons of the collective imagination: Marilyn Monroe and James Dean, whose lives were shattered in the peak of their art. Their talent testifying to the characteristic schizophrenia of this exciting and passionate city conducive to excess and chasms where, sometimes, lead us to the desire to create, to shine, but also to our inner demons. ABOUT THE ARTIST - In a world with increasingly marked divisions between living standards, social classes and physical appearance, Los Angeles is perhaps one of the cities in North America that most characterizes this specificity. The city is centered on very marked and increasingly visible dualities: Luxury and poverty that coexist, dreams of success and quickly broken careers. Los Angeles is the city of all fantasies but also the life of lost illusions.
