A beautifully designed, exquisitely handmade bowl by pottery or ceramics masters husband and wife artists Vivika and Otto Heino. The two were best known for their inspired designs and distinctive glazes. This relatively hefty bowl is signed on the underside and is in excellent vintage condition with no discernible flaws. Really quite riveting and sure to Stand out in any collection or setting. Dimensions: 5.5" high, 8.5" diameter. They are winners of the following awards: Gold Medal from the sixth Biennale internationale de céramique d'art, in Vallauris, France. A wonderfully designed and exceptionally rare earthenware six bird's head bowl or pot (bird head works are very coveted among collector's of the Heino's work) by ceramics masters husband and wife artists Vivika and Otto Heino. Quite heavy and substantial in Size. The couple were best known for their inspired designs and distinctive glazes. This massive bowl or pot is signed on the underside and is in very good vintage condition with no discernible flaws. Again, quite rare. We have never seen another like it with this many birds. Would be the crown jewel in any collection and sure to stand out in any setting. Otto Meier, the silent master of the 20th century, is still considered a role model to many ceramists. His works are represented in important public and private collections. Decade: 1970s This original vintage Studio Ceramic Object was designed by Otto Meier and produced in his own Studio in the 1970s in Bremen, Worpswede in Germany. It is made of solid ceramic pottery and has a very unique brown and beige, coloration and surface structure. The bottom is marked with typical Otto Meier Producer signature OM. a very collectible and very rare item of the Meier Collection. the object has a very sculptural form and in its size of 14x11cm, it is very impressive. straightforward and minimalistic design of the 1970s design era.
