Bespoke pair of ladder back rush seat fauteuil armchairs or lounge chairs with an made in the French provincial style by William Switzer. Generous proportion frames hand made in Spain featuring a carved fruitwood finished in a white glaze. Fitted with newly upholstered deep cushions over the woven rush seat and ladder back in a white fabric with light green laurel leaves. The wood has a rich finish and shows character with small beetle and worm holes. Finished at William Switzer's Canadian Design house. Comes with an assembled pair of rush ottomans in a forest green with newly upholstered off-white pads. Ottomans measure 25"w x 17"d x 15"h. Set includes 2 chairs and 2 ottomans.
Provenance: Custom-made for comedienne Joan Rivers estate.
