Bischoff's Gallery opened in 1999. The gallery, located in historic Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona at the corner of Brown Ave. and Main St., carries works by Native American, western, and southwestern artists. Home of the Anselm Collection, the shop carries the work of many talented artists who use sculpture and paintings as their mediums. Our collection includes Native American pottery and jewelry, Navajo Rugs, Southwest Jewelry, Hopi Kachinas, Baskets, and more. It was one of the largest producing mines in Nevada. The location was known to Native Americans in the area for centuries, but the first official claim was filed in 1914 by Charles Schmidtlein and Johnny Francis. Navajo artist Leon Martinez says he was influenced by his parents, Leo and Edith Martinez, to become a jewelry artist as early as 1970.
